" STAFF ORIENTATION OF BDP FORMULATION WORKSHOP"

The Municipal Planning and Development Office of LGU Jaro, Leyte, headed by Ar. EnP Christabel M. Ribo, and MLGOO Sir Jude Allan S. Villero, along with their staff, attended the orientation on June 9, 2026, at the Legislative Building Conference Room.

The staff orientation sets the groundwork before the actual BDP workshop. This is to make sure everyone involved knows their role, the process, and expected outputs. It aligns the planning team so the workshop runs smoothly.

The Municipality of Jaro, Leyte proudly recognized the exceptional efforts of participating barangays in the Weekly Kalinisan Program from May 24–30, 2026. Through their continued commitment to cleanliness, environmental protection, and community participation, these barangays have set a positive example for others to follow.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Jaro and DILG Jaro extend their sincere appreciation to all barangays for their dedication and active support in promoting a cleaner, greener, and healthier municipality.

The District 2 Leyte Congressional District Wellness and Team Building Activity (Cluster 2) was successfully conducted at Casa Marcos Resort, Pastrana, Leyte on May 28, 2026, which was attended by the 14 MLGOOs, LGOOs II, and Cluster Head. This will surely promote:
✔️team bonding and camaraderie among team members
✔️enhance collaboration and communication within the team
✔️reduce stress and promote wellness among team members
✔️align team goals and objectives

May 25, 2026 - Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training

The SK Mandatory Training (SKMT) was conducted @ Jaro Teen Center Jaro Sports Complex, Jaro,Leyte and attended by four newly appointed SK Treasurers from Barangays Kalinawan, La Paz, Pange and Sari-sari with the Leyte Provincial Youth Development Officer, Mr. Rodel Catapal as the facilitator, in coordination with DILG Jaro headed by Mr. Allan S. Villero, Jaro SK Federation President Hon. Vianca Familiar and Municipal Youth Development Officer Ms. Jay Marie S. Añover.
The training aimed to orient and equip newly appointed officials with the necessary knowledge, policies, and guidelines relevant to their duties.

May 19, 2026 - The Cluster 2 Conference was held at Tiya Tita's Restaurant in Robinsons Marasbaras, Tacloban City. Key discussion points included the ADAC and MPOC Functionality Assessment, CFLGA, and the importance of timely submission of monitoring reports. The team also planned a health and wellness activity for the 14 MLGOOs, 1 LGOO 2, and 1 Cluster Head.

Eunice M. Miranda, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student from ACLC College of Tacloban, has successfully completed her 486-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Jaro, Leyte from January 26 to May 7, 2026.

Throughout her internship, Eunice demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and strong technical and administrative skills. She actively assisted in editing, writing, communication tasks, preparation of official documents, and other day-to-day office operations, contributing to the efficient delivery of services in the office.

Her internship was supervised by the DILG Jaro team headed by Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Jude Allan S. Villero, with the guidance of LGOO II Lyra F. Andea and the support of the DILG Jaro staff.

The DILG Jaro Field Office extends its sincere appreciation to Eunice for her valuable contributions and wishes her continued success in her academic journey and future career. Her accomplishment reflects the importance of practical learning experiences in developing future professionals committed to public service.
