Bicol University signs MOUs with two new International Partners!
Bicol University marks another milestone in its internationalization journey with the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding with StudyPH Partners, USA ๐บ๐ธ and PHLight English School, Japan ๐ฏ๐ต on June 8, 2026 at the International Relations Office Conference Room.
The ceremony was graced by University President Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Julieta B. Borres, and IRO Director Prof. Evangeline D. Honrado, together with Dr. Hennie P. Lomibao, Dean of the Admissions Office, Prof. Phil V. Morano, University Registrar, Dr. Roscefe B. Dy, Dean of BU Guinobatan Campus, Prof. Jazzlyn T. Imperial, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, IRO Coordinators Prof. Maria Teodora A. Loรฑosa and Prof. Abigail Jo Abainza-Luz, and foreign student Mr. Aaron Beard.
Representing the new partners were StudyPH Partners CEO and Founder Mr. Lawrence Ragos and PHLight English School CEO Mr. Takaaki Shimamura, together with his assistant and English Teacher, Ms. Jessa Repollo.
These new partnerships strengthen Bicol University's commitment to providing its students and faculty with meaningful international opportunities in education, language development, and cross-cultural engagement.

Bicol University formally conducted a hybrid Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony with the Sydney Metropolitan Institute of Technology (SMIT), Australia, on May 21, 2026, held at the International Relations Office and via MS Teams.
Representing Bicol University were University President Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Julieta B. Borres, IRO Director Prof. Evangeline D. Honrado, Tabaco Campus Dean Prof. Ronnel S. Dioneda Sr., Associate Dean Prof. Shiela B. Bustamante, Social Work Department Chair Prof. Maricel V. Abrigo, and Internationalization and Linkages Coordinator for Nursing Prof. Albert B. Balace.
Representing SMIT Australia were Prof. Krishna K. Shrestha, Founder, and Prof. Aayam Shrestha, Deputy CEO, Prof. Hamid Salarian, Executive Dean, and Ms. Jane Campbell, Head of Student Recruitment and Social Media.
