RACU5 Arrests Suspect for Illegal Sale of Bank Account in AFASA Entrapment Operation
On June 22, 2026, personnel of RACU5, in coordination with the Legazpi City Police Station, successfully conducted an entrapment operation in Legazpi City that resulted in the arrest of a suspect for violation of Section 5(d) of the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA) in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The operation stemmed from cyber patrolling activities that uncovered the online offering and sale of a UnionBank account with online banking access through social media. During the operation, authorities confiscated a UnionBank ATM card, a mobile phone, marked money, and other pieces of evidence used in the unlawful transaction. The suspect was subsequently brought to Legazpi City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

KKDAT AND ANTI-BULLYING LECTURE CONDUCTED AMONG THE YOUTH OF BARANGAY MAOYOD, LEGAZPI CITY
LEGAZPI CITY β Personnel of the Legazpi City Police Station conducted a Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) and Anti-Bullying Lecture for the youth of Barangay Maoyod, Legazpi City this afternoon of June 23, 2026.
The activity aimed to raise awareness on the dangers of illegal drugs, violent extremism, and bullying while promoting positive values, responsible behavior, and active youth participation in maintaining peace and order in the community.
Through this activity, the Legazpi CPS continues to empower the youth to become responsible, law-abiding, and productive members of society.
