🏛️ Honoring a Legacy: Bicol University and the 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙖𝙮, through the 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢, 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 (𝙋𝙏𝘾𝘼𝙊), met today to plan the installation of the bust of 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜. 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙨 "𝙋𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙮" 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 inside the BU campus. A historic tribute to a great leader!

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Albay, this international production highlights the province’s natural beauty and showcases why it is truly a . From majestic volcanic views to picturesque countryside and vibrant local attractions, Albay takes center stage on the global screen.

This collaboration is expected to further elevate Albay’s presence on the international stage and inspire more Taiwanese travelers to discover the beauty, culture, and warm hospitality of the Bicol Region.

The Province of Albay proudly welcomes Birdy Production Co. Ltd. from Taiwan as they choose the Bicol Region as the official filming location for their upcoming international music video production.

With filming set across the Municipality of Daraga, Camalig,Sto.Domingo and the City of Legazpi, this project highlights the breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Albay while advancing the region’s Film Tourism initiatives. It also presents a valuable opportunity to showcase Albay as a premier destination for international film and creative productions.

This undertaking is made possible through the collaboration of the Department of Tourism – Regional Office V (DOT ROV), the Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO), and the Local Government Units of Legazpi, Camalig,Daraga and Sto.Domingo.

Together, we continue to elevate Albay on the global stage—where world-class destinations meet world-class storytelling.

Ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas at Ika-67 Anibersaryo ng Charter Day ng Lungsod ng Legazpi 🇵🇭

Nagkakaisang ipinagdiriwang ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Albay at Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Legazpi ang Ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas at Ika-67 Anibersaryo ng Charter Day ng Lungsod ng Legazpi ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo 2026.

Sa pangunguna nina Gobernador Noel E. Rosal at Mayor Hisham B. Ismail, ating ginugunita ang kabayanihan, katapangan, at sakripisyo ng mga bayaning Pilipino na nagbigay daan sa kalayaang ating tinatamasa sa kasalukuyan.

Kasabay nito, ipinagdiriwang din natin ang patuloy na pag-unlad, katatagan, at tagumpay ng Lungsod ng Legazpi bilang isang huwarang lungsod sa rehiyon.
Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang pagdiriwang na ito upang higit pang mapagtibay ang ating pagkakaisa, pagmamahal sa bayan, at sama-samang pagkilos tungo sa mas maunlad at mas maliwanag na kinabukasan para sa Albay, Legazpi, at sa buong sambayanang Pilipino.

Albay Biosphere Reserve Management Council (ABRMC) 2nd Quarter Meeting 2026

The Albay Biosphere Reserve Management Council (ABRMC) convenes its 2nd Quarter Meeting for CY 2026 to discuss key administrative matters, review accomplishments and updates from the previous quarter, and strengthen collaborative efforts in the sustainable management, conservation, and development of the Albay Biosphere Reserve. The meeting serves as a vital platform for stakeholders and partner agencies to align strategies, address emerging concerns, and advance initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development throughout the province of Albay.

2nd Quarter Albay Tourism Advisory Council Meeting

In line with the Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO)'s commitment to strengthening the tourism industry and ensuring the continuous dissemination of relevant information to stakeholders, the **2nd Quarter Albay Tourism Advisory Council Meeting** was successfully conducted today at Ysabelle's Restaurant.

The meeting served as a valuable platform for collaboration and dialogue among tourism stakeholders, with meaningful discussions centered on the following agenda:

✅ Institutionalization of the Albay Tourist Police Unit in the Province of Albay
✅ Updates from DOT Region V on programs, accomplishments, and upcoming activities
✅ Albay Biosphere Awareness Campaign for Tourism-Related Establishments

In addition, members were apprised of PTCAO's latest promotional initiatives and strategic plans, particularly in relation to the ongoing updating of the **Albay Tourism Development Plan**.

Through strengthened partnerships and shared commitment, Albay continues to advance sustainable tourism development and enhance the province's position as a premier tourism destination.

𝙇𝘾𝘾 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙆𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝘿𝙖𝙮 culminated with the highly anticipated 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, bringing together nine exceptional contestants who showcased their culinary artistry, creativity, and passion through the rich and authentic flavors of Bicolano cuisine. The competition served not only as a celebration of gastronomy, but also as a platform to recognize the remarkable talent and dedication of aspiring culinary professionals in the region.

We extend our sincerest congratulations to LCC Supermarket, together with the participating culinary schools, organizers, partners, and stakeholders, for the successful conduct of this meaningful event. Through initiatives such as this, the passion, innovation, and skill of our young culinary students are continuously nurtured, further strengthening Albay’s identity as a province celebrated for its vibrant culture and distinct culinary heritage.

Beyond the breathtaking beauty of Mayon Volcano lies the fire, excellence, and creativity of Albayanos in crafting dishes that create memorable dining experiences and leave lasting impressions on every guest we serve.
