APSEMO continuous conduct of tree pruning activities along Brgys Matagbac to San Antonio, Tabaco City, Albay as part of mitigation measures in anticipation of the typhoon season to reduce risks of fallen trees, road obstructions, and power interruptions.

We urge all barangays to initiate similar tree pruning in your respective areas or Puroks, especially near power lines and roads, to help mitigate power interruptions and ensure community safety during severe weather.

As of 8:00 AM today, 23 June 2026, the Super Typhoon "FRANCISCO" with international name "MEKKHALA" has weakened into a Typhoon category and is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the Tropical Depression (06c) being monitored within the Philippine monitoring domain (TCID) has developed into a Tropical Storm "HIGOS".

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.
