The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) – Bicol Region paid a courtesy visit to the Local Government Unit of Libmanan and met with the Municipal Mayor Hon. Edelson M. Marfil to strengthen collaboration in advancing programs that uphold the welfare, dignity, and empowerment of senior citizens.

The team also met with a local organization composed primarily of senior citizens to discuss their Department of Agriculture (DA)-supported livestock livelihood project. Their commitment, hard work, and determination demonstrate that age is not a barrier to productivity, leadership, and meaningful participation in nation-building.

Recognizing the importance of sustaining these initiatives, NCSC will conduct a follow-up visit to profile the members and assess appropriate interventions that can further strengthen the project and enhance its long-term viability. Through responsive support and strategic partnerships, we aim to ensure that senior citizens are equipped with the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.

By investing in our senior citizens, we honor their invaluable contributions and affirm their continuing role as empowered, capable, and productive members of society.

Civil Service Commission Regional Office V (CSC RO V) Director Atty. Daisy Punzalan Bragais graciously received representatives from the National Commission of Senior Citizens – Bicol Region (NCSC Region V) during their courtesy visit on 17 June 2026.

Present during the visit were NCSC Region V Director Atty. Ma. Clarissa Lavena A. Bombase-Pacammara and her team. The dialogue centered on proposed learning sessions aimed at empowering professionals transitioning to retirement and retirees to remain active contributors to community development, volunteerism, and civic engagement.

CSC RO V remains steadfast in fostering strong partnerships with national government agencies to ensure the effective implementation of civil service laws, rules, and programs throughout the region.

📍The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Region V participated in the Healthy Ageing for Local Implementers Manual Roll-Out conducted by the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Bicol on June 9–10, 2026 at A and A Breakfast Inn, Legazpi City.

The activity brought together representatives from the Local Government Units of Legazpi City and Magallanes, Sorsogon, as well as healthcare professionals from geriatric hospitals and other partner agencies committed to promoting the well-being of older persons.

Over the two-day workshop, participants discussed the Healthy Ageing Program, its policy directions, and the vital roles of local government units in ensuring the health and welfare of senior citizens. Interactive group activities were also conducted to identify the issues and concerns faced by older persons in their respective communities and to develop practical solutions through resource mapping and multi-sectoral collaboration.

The workshop further highlighted strategies on how the Healthy Ageing Framework can be integrated into local programs, services, and policies to better respond to the needs of senior citizens.

Through this initiative, local implementers gained valuable knowledge, tools, and insights that will guide them in enhancing programs and services, fostering age-friendly communities, and improving the quality of life of senior citizens across the region. ❤️

Demonstrating a shared commitment to the welfare and dignity of older persons, Commissioner (Ret.) Judge Leo L. Intia paid a courtesy visit to the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Naga, led by Mr. Jim Reblando, and met with City Mayor Hon. Maria Leonor 'Leni' G. Robredo and Vice Mayor Hon. Gabriel 'Gabby' H. Bordado.

The visit provided an important venue for meaningful dialogue on the pressing concerns, needs, and aspirations of senior citizens in Naga City. Discussions focused on strengthening programs, enhancing services, and fostering greater collaboration among national and local stakeholders to ensure that older persons remain empowered, protected, and actively engaged members of the community.

The meeting underscored the collective resolve of the National Commission of Senior Citizens, the City Government of Naga, and OSCA Naga to champion policies and initiatives that uphold the rights, welfare, and well-being of senior citizens. Through strong partnerships and responsive governance, these efforts continue to pave the way for a more inclusive, age-friendly, and compassionate Naga City where every senior citizen is valued, heard, and supported.

Ayon sa National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Public Advisory No. 1, Series of 2026, ang Digital NSCID ay isang valid proof of identity na dapat tanggapin ng mga government agencies at private institutions sa iba't ibang transaksyon. ✅

✔️ Maka-access ng government services at social protection programs

Iriga City had the pleasure of welcoming Commissioner Leo L. Intia of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) for a courtesy visit to Mayor Rex C. Oliva at the City Mayor's Office today. Commissioner Intia was among the three newly appointed NCSC Commissioners who took their oath last April 23, 2026, before Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian at the DSWD Central Office. No stranger to Iriga, Commissioner Intia previously served as Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 35, Iriga City.

The visit reflects a shared commitment to advancing the welfare and interests of senior citizens, and the City Government of Iriga looks forward to working closely with the NCSC in ensuring that our elderly Irigueños are well-supported, heard, and cared for.
