DENR Foreshore Delineation and Profiling Program Discussed with City Government Offices

The City Government of Legazpi, through the Office of Resettlement, Housing and Community Development (ORHCD), participated in a coordination meeting with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Albay, together with representatives from the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and the City Assessor’s Office, regarding the implementation of the Foreshore Delineation and Profiling Project in Barangay Puro, Legazpi City.

The meeting served as a venue for DENR-PENRO Albay to present the objectives and scope of the project, which aims to identify and profile existing occupants, structures, and improvements within foreshore areas, salvage zones, and other public coastal lands. The initiative seeks to promote the sustainable management of coastal resources, establish accurate foreshore boundaries, update records of foreshore land occupancy, and provide reliable data for future planning and policy formulation.

Isang napakalaking karangalan para sa ating lungsod na mapabilang ang inyong pamahalaan sa Top Governance Tier ng buong Bicol Region! Sa pinakahuling Boses ng Bayan Governance Assessment ng RPMD Foundation Inc., nagkamit po ang inyong Lingkod ng 83.9% Index of Governance (83.2% Trust at 84.6% Performance Rating), na nagluklok sa Legazpi City sa ikalawang pwesto sa buong rehiyon.

Ngunit ang matataas na numerong ito ay hindi tagumpay ng Mayor lamang. Utang po natin ito sa inyong aktibong pakikilahok, kooperasyon, at tiwala bilang mga mamamayan ng Legazpi. Ang epektibong pamamahala ay bunga ng pagkakaisa ng bawat Legazpeño na patuloy na nakikibahagi sa ating mga programa para sa pag-unlad.

Kasabay nito, nais ko ring ipabot ang aking pinakamalalim na pagkilala at pasasalamat sa lahat ng kawani at opisyal ng LGU Legazpi. Kayo ang tunay na makina sa likod ng tagumpay na ito.

Ang inyong sipag, dedikasyon, at tapat na pagtatrabaho araw-araw ang dahilan kung bakit nararamdaman at nakakarating sa bawat sulok ng ating lungsod ang serbisyo ng gobyerno. Kung wala ang inyong sakripisyo at propesyonalismo, hindi natin maaabot ang ganito kataas na antas ng tiwala at pagganap sa tungkulin.

Ang mataas na pagkilalang ito ay hindi dahilan para tayo ay maging kampante. Sa halip, ito ay magsisilbing inspirasyon at hamon sa ating lahat—sa mamamayan at sa pamahalaan—upang lalo pa nating pagbutihin ang pagpapatupad ng mga proyekto at pag-angat ng kalidad ng buhay ng bawat pamilyang Legazpeño.

Paggunita sa ika-100 taong anibersaryo ng pagpanaw ni Heneral Jose Ignacio Paua, isang bayani ng Himagsikang Pilipino at tapat na lingkod ng ating bayan.

Isinilang sa Tsina, siya ay naging buong-pusong Pilipino, nakipaglaban para sa kalayaan, at nanirahan at nagsilbi dito sa Albay – naging Alkalde ng Manito at minamahal na tao ng Legazpi at buong Bicol. Namatay siya noong Mayo 24, 1926, ngunit ang kanyang pamana ng katapatan, paglilingkod, at pagmamahal sa bayan ay nananatili.
