𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 ❤️
(A Fire Wife’s Prayer)

I don’t hear the tones.

I don’t hear the boots hit the floor
or the locker slam shut.

I don’t see the smoke.
I don’t smell the fire.

What I hear
is the quiet of this house at night
when your side of the bed is cold
and your pillow stays untouched.

And still — I pray.

Lord, wherever he is tonight…
in a bunk room lit by flickering lights,
in a truck racing toward chaos,
standing in heat I can’t imagine —

please cover him.

When he puts on his bunker pants,
let them be more than fabric.
Let them be protection.

When he settles that helmet on his head,
steady his thoughts.

When the air turns thick
and the world narrows to smoke and sound,
be his oxygen.

I don’t get to hold his hand
when the call comes.

So I place him in Yours.

Guard his lungs.
Guard his mind.
Guard the tender places he hides
behind strength and humor.

And when the shift is long
and the night is heavier than usual —

remind him he has a home waiting.
A wife praying.
A life beyond the flames.

Bring him back through our front door
tired… maybe quiet…
but safe.

And if You can, Lord —

bring him back whole.

Dear Lord,
As a new month begins,
cover the families who serve behind the scenes.

Be near to the firefighter heading out the door,
the medic carrying heavy things no one can see,
the dispatcher holding calm in chaos,
the officer staying alert long after exhaustion sets in.

And Lord, hold close the ones waiting at home too.

Strengthen the spouses who carry extra weight.
Give patience to tired parents.
Bring comfort to children missing someone at the table tonight.

When schedules shift, plans fall apart,
and the stress feels louder than the peace,
remind these families that You are still steady.

Protect the homes that sacrifice quietly.
Restore what burnout tries to steal.
Make room for laughter again.
For slow mornings.
For safe arrivals.
For connection in the middle of busy lives.

Let June be filled with moments of rest,
unexpected joy,
and reminders that none of this service goes unseen by You.

And for every first responder walking into hard places this month—
go before them, stand beside them,
and bring them safely home.

Barangay Dau CFAG, two-year in a row Pampanga Provincial Barangay CFAG Champions, pays a courtesy call to the Honorable City Mayor Gerald Guttrie Aquino and Top City Officials, in today's flag ceremony. The volunteer firefighters were accompanied by Barangay Captain Glenn Derrick A. Llanos Dee and BFP-City Fire Marshall, FCINSP Michael D. Mesina

City Councilor Timothy Paul Llanos Dee supported the establishment of the CFAG as the progeny of the Dee Hwa Liong Volunteer Fire Brigade.
