𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The Zamboanga Valientes Professional Basketball Team, led by Team Owner Rolando Navarro Jr., Team Manager John Dalipe, and Assistant Manager Arnie Magsipoc, visited the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Central Office in Makati City to process and secure their GAB license.

GAB Chairman Atty. Francisco J. Rivera, joined by Division Chief Rodil Manaog, welcomed the team officials and homegrown players as they discussed Zamboanga City’s sports programs and its active support in promoting professional sporting events that provide opportunities for the youth and local athletes.

Let us support the Zamboanga Valientes as they showcase the skills of their homegrown players and compete as one of the high‑profile teams in the upcoming NBL Pilipinas Governors’ Cup Season 2026.

[𝟏𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲] – The Games and Amusements Board (GAB), led by Chairman Atty. Francisco J. Rivera, met with professional billiards players, promoters, managers, and industry stakeholders to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening professional cue sports in the Philippines.

Among those present were renowned billiards figures Roel Esquillo, Anton Raga, Jacob “Hammerman” Soriano, veteran sports journalist Marlon Bernardino, and other representatives from the local billiards community.

Discussions focused on athlete licensing, tournament regulation, international participation, promoter accreditation, and measures to further professionalize the sport while ensuring the welfare and protection of athletes and stakeholders.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of proper documentation and coordination for Filipino players competing abroad, as well as the role of GAB-sanctioned events in promoting transparency, legitimacy, and athlete protection.

The dialogue concluded with a shared commitment to support the continued growth, development, and professionalization of billiards in the Philippines.

GAB Chairman Atty. Francisco J. Rivera, together with Philippine Esports Organization (PESO) Project Manager Victor Tan Cabuay and Fairrie CEO Julius See, proudly presented the championship award to Team Liquid, the MPL Season 17 Champions, and Finals MVP Marvin "Sanford" Vinuya, for their smooth yet dominating, water wave‑like victory. 🌊
