Luciana M. Obejas, from Sto. Niรฑo, Tanauan, Leyte, has spent 18 years working abroad as a caregiver in Jordan. Beyond her daily duties, she has consistently served the Filipino community as President of the Federation of Filipino Associations in Amman (FEFAA) and as a dedicated advocate for migrant workers.
As a finalist in the LIKHA Global Business Plan Competition, she hopes to establish her Family Farming and Tourism Project. This dream is deeply rooted in a promise to her father, Tatay Pesing, whose long-held dream of securing and developing their land is one she hopes to bring to life as a lasting family legacy. Luciana looks forward to returning home to retire as an OFW and applying everything she has learned abroad to build a farm that can support her family and create sustainable opportunities for the people in her hometown.
Her message to her fellow OFWs centers on positivity and perseverance, reminding them that the future begins with the thoughts they nurture. She expresses her deepest gratitude to God, to Labor Attachรฉ Armi Peรฑa and MWO-Jordan, to the FEFAA community, and to everyone who supported her journey. As she celebrates this milestone as a LIKHA GLOBAL winner, she extends her heartfelt thanks and warm congratulations to her fellow achievers.
