PNP CYBERCOPS STEP UP OPERATIONS, ARREST 43 IN ANTI-CYBERCRIME CAMPAIGN

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through its Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG), further intensified its campaign against cyber-enabled crimes after recording significant operational accomplishments from June 1 to 15, 2026.

During the period, the ACG referred 95 cybercrime cases for filing, resulting from regular and inquest proceedings. The unit also arrested 43 individuals through various law enforcement operations, including entrapment activities and the service of warrants. In addition, six individuals were convicted in separate cybercrime cases.
To strengthen cyber investigations, the ACG implemented 57 Warrants to Disclose Computer Data and three Warrants to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data. Cyber operatives likewise conducted more than 1,100 cyber patrolling activities, completed 23 digital forensic examinations, and successfully rescued 10 victims of cyber-related offenses.

These accomplishments support the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations by strengthening cyber law enforcement and improving the capability of police units to respond to emerging digital threats. They also complement the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in promoting a safer and more secure environment for Filipinos, both online and offline.

Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the sustained efforts of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group and reminded the public that cybercrime prevention is a shared responsibility.

"Habang patuloy na umuunlad ang teknolohiya, mas lalo rin nating paiigtingin ang ating kakayahan laban sa mga krimeng gumagamit ng digital platforms. Hindi tayo titigil sa pagpapatupad ng batas at sa pagprotekta sa ating mga kababayan. Kasabay nito, hinihikayat natin ang publiko na maging mapanuri at responsable sa kanilang online activities upang hindi mabiktima ng mga manloloko," PGen Nartatez said.

The PNP remains committed to strengthening its cybercrime prevention and enforcement efforts as it continues to deliver Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman for every Filipino.

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), has successfully accounted for and arrested 92 fugitives facing charges related to r**e, sexual abuse, child abuse, and violence against women and their children (VAWC) during nationwide operations conducted from June 1 to 15, 2026.

The coordinated manhunt operations were implemented in various parts of the country through the enforcement of warrants of arrest covering violations of Republic Act No. 9262 (Anti-VAWC Act), Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), Republic Act No. 11930 (Anti-OSAEC and CSAEM Act), and other related offenses.

Based on CIDG data, 42 of the arrested fugitives were located in Luzon, 14 in Visayas, and 36 in Mindanao. Of those accounted for, 30 are listed as Regional Most Wanted Persons, 29 as Provincial Most Wanted Persons, and 7 are classified as City or Municipal Most Wanted Persons. Authorities also noted that 53 of the arrested individuals have no bail recommended for their cases.

Among the significant outcomes of the operations was the arrest of a National Most Wanted Person in Quezon Province facing a charge of Qualified R**e of a Minor, with a corresponding reward of ₱150,000 under existing law enforcement guidelines.

The CIDG credited the successful nationwide implementation to the coordinated efforts of its regional, provincial, and field units, highlighting the sustained focus on tracking down fugitives with outstanding warrants, particularly those involved in crimes against women and children.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., said the latest accomplishment reflects the organization’s firm resolve to ensure accountability and deliver justice to victims.

“Patuloy ang ating operasyon laban sa mga wanted persons, lalo na sa mga kasong may kinalaman sa kababaihan at mga bata. Sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., mas pinaigting natin ang ating kampanya para matiyak na ang hustisya ay nararamdaman ng taumbayan,” the Chief PNP said.

He added that these sustained efforts are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing more coordinated, responsive, and results-driven law enforcement across all regions.

The PNP assured the public that its intensified manhunt operations will continue nationwide, with commitment to ensuring that fugitives are held accountable and that communities remain protected. This accomplishment underscores the continuing drive of the organization toward a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” where police service is swift, honest, and truly felt by the people.

JOINT PDEA–PNP–BOC OPERATION FOILS ₱60 MILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS HIDDEN IN INBOUND PARCELS

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), composed of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Customs (BOC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), successfully intercepted fourteen (14) abandoned inbound parcels containing suspected illegal drugs during a coordinated interdiction operation conducted at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) along Domestic Road, Pasay City, on June 15, 2026.

The operation was driven by intensified intelligence monitoring and cargo profiling efforts at the country’s primary mail screening facility. The parcels originated from multiple international locations, including Thailand, India, United Kingdom, France, United States, and other countries, and were consigned to various individuals across different areas in the Philippines.

Based on initial assessment, authorities recovered approximately 5.4 kilograms of suspected ma*****na kush with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱8.25 million, around 100,000 milliliters of suspected liquid ma*****na with an SDP of ₱5 million, and nearly 9 kilograms of suspected shabu with an SDP of ₱46.95 million. Additional seized items include suspected methylenedioxymethamphetamine (M**A) tablets, commonly known as ecstasy, o***m poppy derivatives, and other controlled substances concealed in misdeclared shipments.

The total estimated value of the seized illegal drugs exceeds ₱60 million. The contraband was concealed in ordinary-looking items such as snacks, coffee products, decorative materials, household filters, wooden organizers, toys, and electronic equipment in an apparent attempt to evade detection.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for the successful interception, underscoring the importance of sustained intelligence-driven operations.

“Hindi tayo titigil sa ganitong operasyon. We are strengthening our border control efforts not only at the street level but more importantly at entry points where illegal drugs attempt to enter the country,” he said.

He added that the accomplishment supports the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, strengthening coordination among law enforcement agencies to prevent illegal drugs from reaching communities. He likewise reaffirmed alignment with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for a safer and more secure Philippines.

All intercepted parcels were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for laboratory examination and proper disposition, while follow-up investigations are ongoing to determine possible networks behind the attempted shipment.

“This operation shows that our security systems are actively working. Tuloy-tuloy ang ating pagbabantay mula ports hanggang communities. The PNP remains firm in its duty to protect the public,” PGen Nartatez added.

This accomplishment reflects the continued operational thrust of the PNP in line with Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, reinforcing a stronger national campaign against the entry and proliferation of illegal drugs in the country.
