The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced the promotion of several senior officers to the rank of Commodore, effective March 6, 2026, in recognition of their leadership and contributions to public service.
The promotion was officially announced on, March 13, 2026, following the approval of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., upon the recommendation of Department of Transportation Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez.
Among those promoted is PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Cayabyab PCG.
As PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Cayabyab PCG has been at the forefront of communicating Coast Guard's operational updates and emergency response efforts to the public and media.
She has played a key role in ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination during maritime incidents, search and rescue operations, humanitarian missions, and major maritime developments.

PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, extended his congratulations to the newly promoted officers and expressed confidence that they will continue to strengthen the Coast Guardβs mission of ensuring maritime safety, maritime security, maritime law enforcement, maritime search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.
The donning of ranks and oath-taking ceremony for the newly promoted officers will follow thereafter.
