On June 17, 2026, some members of the UST Miguel de Benavides Library staff gathered for a hands-on training session on using Canvas for Global Announcements and Impact Messages, led by Engr. Raul B. Ponay, Technology and Infrastructure Manager of the UST Educational Technology Center (EdTech).

The session gave participants a closer look at how Canvas's announcement features work and how they can be used more effectively to reach the Thomasian community. It sparked conversations about how the Library can make the most of Canvas as a communication tool, from sharing service advisories and resource updates to keeping library users informed more quickly and efficiently.
