READ | โ€˜Kami mismo ang lalapit upang maghatid ng serbisyoโ€™: PSA ensures faster, more accessible, and inclusive services for every Filipino
In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to bring public services closer and faster to the public, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ensures faster, more accessible, and inclusive services for every Filipino through its nationwide mobile activities on National ID and civil registration.
In fulfillment of its commitment, the PSA continues to reach communities, particularly those in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and vulnerable sectors, to deliver essential services, including copy issuance of civil registry documents, birth registration assistance, National ID registration, printing of National ID in paper format, and assistance in accessing the Digital National ID.
Recently, the PSA brought said services through its mobile activities in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, and the municipalities of Binalbagan and Ilog in the province of Negros Occidental.
More than 2,000 Filipinos were provided with National ID and civil registration services during the said mobile activities.
A total of 860 clients were registered to the National ID; 364 National ID in paper format were printed and issued; 134 updating of demographic information were facilitated; 90 were assisted in the retrieval of transaction reference number; and 58 were assisted in accessing their Digital National IDs in the eGovPH superapp.
Additionally, the PSA assisted 507 clients across 894 distinct civil registration transactions, while 35 beneficiaries were processed under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
To facilitate the faster and efficient service delivery in Negros Occidental, PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, personally joined the mobile activity in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, where he emphasized the agencyโ€™s commitment to ensuring that no Filipino will be left behind in the country's Civil Registration and National ID services.
