The activity served as a vital platform connecting Zambaleรฑos with diverse employment opportunities from both local employers and overseas recruitment agencies, providing jobseekers with pathways toward meaningful and sustainable employment. In line with the spirit of Independence Day, the event underscored the role of economic empowerment in achieving true freedom through livelihood and self-reliance.

DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino expressed his message of support to all jobseekers, conveying his hope that participants would return home with successful employment opportunities after the event. He likewise extended his gratitude to the participating employers for their commitment to accommodate applicants and provide job opportunities, as well as to the various government agencies present for their continued support in ensuring the success of the job fair and the delivery of essential public services to the public.

Complementing the employment facilitation services, the event also featured a caravan of government services, where various national government agencies established service booths to assist attendees with employment requirements, government documentation, and social protection services. Adding to the convergence, local Rural Workers Associations showcased and sold their locally produced goods and livelihood products, further promoting community-based enterprise and supporting grassroots economic activity in the province.

The successful conduct of the โ€œTrabaho Agadโ€ Job Fair reflects the strong collaboration among DOLE, local government units, partner agencies, employers, and workersโ€™ organizations in advancing inclusive employment and public service delivery. Through initiatives such as this, DOLE Zambales continues to uphold its commitment to empowering the workforce and fostering sustainable economic growth in the province.

Anchored on the theme, โ€œIkaw, Ako, Tayo: Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Batang Malaya,โ€ the activity reaffirmed the collective commitment of government agencies and partner institutions to eliminate child labor and promote the welfare of children through sustainable family and community interventions.

A major highlight of the event was the awarding of livelihood starter kits to parents of profiled child laborers. The assistance packages were tailored to the beneficiariesโ€™ proposed enterprises, including frozen food vending, sari-sari store operations, and bakery businesses, with the goal of strengthening household income and reducing the economic vulnerabilities that contribute to child labor. School bags and educational supplies were likewise distributed to identified children through Project Angel Tree, supporting their continued education and development.

The initiative was further strengthened through the participation of various partner agencies and institutions. The Provincial Government of Zambales provided rice assistance to beneficiary families, the Department of Agriculture distributed plant seeds, and the President Ramon Magsaysay State University conducted hygiene kit distribution and an information session highlighting the role of parents in preventing child labor. Representatives from the DILG, DSWD, and PNP San Marcelino also delivered messages emphasizing the importance of protecting children's rights through collaborative action, while the Philippine Statistics Authority brought its services closer to the community through civil registration assistance and information dissemination.

To ensure transparency and strict compliance in the implementation of the program, representatives from the DOLE Regional Office III โ€“ Internal Management Services Division monitored the distribution process and validated the direct and complete delivery of assistance to the intended beneficiaries. Through this collaborative effort, DOLE Zambales and its partner agencies continue to advance programs that empower families, safeguard children's rights, and work toward building communities free from child labor.
