The Olongapo City Public Library actively participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held at the Civic Center Olongapo! 🛟

Facilitated by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) - Olongapo, the exercise focuses on sharpening emergency response behaviors, testing office-wide coordination, and instilling critical disaster preparedness among students to build a safer, more resilient community.

In light of the recent Magnitude 7.8 Offshore Sarangani earthquake that impacted Mindanao, the City Government of Olongapo is ramping up its disaster resilience efforts.

Key department heads and representatives gathered for a vital coordination meeting ahead of tomorrow's 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) CY 2026.

The city-wide drill will take place tomorrow, June 18, 2026 (Thursday) at 9:00 AM, with the Olongapo City Civic Center serving as the pilot evacuation and response area. This simulation aims to strengthen local disaster preparedness, test institutional response times, and ensure that everyone knows exactly what to do when disaster strikes.

The City Government of Olongapo thru Olongapo City Public Library expresses its deep gratitude to DICT Region III for their strong partnership and active participation in this meaningful event.
