Asenso Pinoy Representative Atty. Indy Oaminal, a member of the House Committee on Labor and Employment, recently held a meeting with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis Tolentino to align on strategic initiatives.
Through this meeting, Asenso Pinoy and DOLE have aligned to bring stronger collaboration to the community. Atty. Indy utilized the meeting to connect national labor policies with local needs, rolling out tailored livelihood assistance, employment opportunities, and upcoming programs for constituents.
Another matter discussed during the session was the development of Misamis Occidental's primary gateway - the Ozamiz City, Labo Airport. As the DOLE Secretary sits on the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Board, he has a valuable say on the development of airports. Recognizing its vital role in the region's economic and tourism growth, Sec. Tolentino offered his support for the expansion of the Ozamiz Airport. He committed to helping fast track and champion the infrastructure upgrades needed for the airport.
