𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐔 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — Sustaining the momentum to fortify the transition of newly appointed education leaders, the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) successfully completed the second leg of its development initiative. The Development Workshop on the Onboarding Program Modules for Supervisors (Part 2) was conducted from June 15 to 18, 2026, at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Cebu City.

Building directly upon the structural blueprints established during the Baguio City leg in April, this four-day intensive follow-up shifted the focus from initial module drafting to finalization, peer critique, and the creation of essential instructional companions for mentors.

The workshop opened with a rigorous review of the initial module frameworks. Writers and technical experts spent the opening day diving straight into the Launch Learning and Engage Practices components of the learning package. Strategic oversight was maintained throughout the opening phase as the teams transitioned into clarifying the comprehensive process of developing these specialized learning resources.

𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

As the workshop progressed, content writers focused heavily on completing and enhancing the LEAD components of the modules. Central Office Directors and field experts led intensive peer review sessions and technical critiquing to polish the instructional quality of the outputs. This collaborative scrutiny guaranteed that the materials remained technically sound, practical, and fully aligned with the high expectations of the Philippine Professional Standards for Supervisors.

Another major milestone of the Cebu leg was the presentation of the SOP Hub by the Program Management Team and initiation of the development of the Mentors’ Guide content by the Module leads. Working in specialized team assignments, the module leads mapped out a clear methodology, drafted detailed contents, and gave overall feedback to the guide.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

The latter half of the workshop focused on bringing all components to a state of completion. Teams worked collaboratively through finalization and critiquing cycles to weave the module elements into a unified, cohesive resource package.

By the final day, all consolidated outputs were officially submitted for final quality checks. The event culminated in a closing program that celebrated the cross-regional collaboration of the 31 content writers, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, and Chiefs who worked alongside NEAP to bridge leadership gaps nationwide. With the completion of Part 2, NEAP has finalized a high-impact onboarding pipeline designed to strengthen administrative accountability and elevate workplace management across all DepEd governance levels.

NEAP launched a nationwide series of trainings on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

Prior to the rollout, NEAP conducted a series of development workshops involving more than a hundred field developers, in collaboration with specialists from the Bureau of Curriculum
Development (BCD) and the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD). These workshops ensured the quality, relevance, and completeness of the Training Resource Package.

The implementation followed a staggered cascade model consisting of three phases: the Training of Regional Trainers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum, the Region-Led Training of Division Trainers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum, and the Division-Led Training of Teachers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum.

The training highlighted key curriculum reforms and aimed to foster a deep and shared understanding of the curriculum’s content, intent, and expected learning outcomes. Through
carefully sequenced sessions on content knowledge, pedagogy, and assessment, participants were equipped with the competencies needed to effectively implement the revised curriculum in their classrooms.

In his welcome message, Secretary Sonny Angara underscored the importance of the training in ensuring successful curriculum implementation. “Sa pamamagitan ng training na ito, layunin
nating bigyan ng sapat na kaalaman, malinaw na gabay, at kumpiyansa ang ating Grades 6, 9, at 10 trainers at teachers,” he said.

He likewise emphasized the critical role of educators in maintaining consistency across the country, reminding participants that, “Kayo ang magtitiyak na iisa ang direksyon ng implementasyon, na saan mang panig ng bansa, iisa ang layunin at mensahe ng ating curriculum.”

Addressing the participants, NEAP Director Michael Joseph P. Cabauatan encouraged teachers to embrace the changes introduced by the revised curriculum and to remain committed to
meaningful learning and continuous professional growth. Reflecting on the opportunities and challenges ahead, he remarked: “As we step onto this new chapter, remember that every lesson plan, every assignment that you plan, and every interaction you have with a student is a contribution to national progress. You are not just implementers of curriculum; you are architects of learning.”

Guided by the training’s tagline, “𝑾𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚; 𝒘𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘,” the initiative reinforces NEAP’s commitment to empowering educators and advancing quality education for every Filipino learner.
