SAJ LEONEN TO NEW LAWYERS: "YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN US"

Supreme Court (SC) Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen reminded newly admitted lawyers that the true measure of a legal career is not based on titles, wealth, or influence, but on how their work helps create a society where people can live meaningful and dignified lives.

Leonen delivered the message as keynote speaker during the Purple Hood and Bar Passers 2025 Testimonial of the Mindanao State University College of Law.

In his speech, Leonen challenged the new lawyers to prepare for the difficult but necessary work that begins after the celebrations. He urged them to uphold their responsibility to serve the people with integrity and compassion.

He also called on the passers to make a collective pact never to fail the people they are sworn to serve.
