Overview

The Seven F’s on Peacebuilding is a transformative framework authored by COSANIE MORTABA DEROGONGAN (DSC), MPA, designed to promote a culture of peace, moral leadership, spiritual resilience, and social harmony through faith-centered principles. Rooted in Islamic teachings and universal human values, the framework emphasizes that sustainable peace begins within the individual and expands to the family, community, and society.

The Seven F’s—Faith (Iman), Fajr (Discipline and Awakening), Forgiveness (Maghfirah), Fasting (Sawm), Family (Usrah), Fulfillment (Qana’ah), and Fellowship (Ukhuwwah)—serve as guiding pillars in nurturing disciplined, compassionate, and resilient communities capable of resisting hatred, division, conflict, and violent extremism. Each principle highlights the importance of spiritual development, self-discipline, emotional healing, patience, unity, gratitude, and brotherhood in building strong foundations for peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

The framework also supports the goals of the National Action Plan on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (NAP/PCVE) by encouraging community engagement, moral education, interfaith understanding, and collective responsibility. Through this approach, The Seven F’s on Peacebuilding seeks to inspire individuals and communities to become instruments of peace, reconciliation, and positive social transformation.
