โTrue to its title as the "Integrator," the 1502nd Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade once again demonstrated the power of unity and collaboration. On the morning of May 17, 2026, under the leadership of COL ROLANDO V NOTO INF (GSC) PA (RES), the brigade spearheaded a massive joint clean-up drive at the Ermitaรฑo Creek boundaries of Quezon City and Manila.
โ
โThis wasnโt just a solo mission; it was a masterclass in inter-agency cooperation. The high-impact operation successfully integrated 5 Reservist Officers and 23 Enlisted Reservists from the 1502nd RRIBde, 10 personnel from the 1st Bn, 1302nd RRIBn, 32 personnel from the Parola Philippine Coast Guard led by ENS Panganiban, and a DPWH team of 4 engineers and 11 personnel headed by OIC Roxanne Ferrer. โBefore deployment, COL NOTO and MAJ BERNARDEZ conducted a rigorous briefing with the DPWH and PCG leaders to map out the most critical choking points of the creek.
โ
โThe heavy integration paid off massively. By 11:50, the joint forces successfully cleared a staggering 118 large garbage bags of wasteโhauling 60 bags from Ermitaรฑo Bridge near Madison Hotel and 58 bags near the Barangay Hall. By removing this debris ahead of the rainy season, the team significantly mitigated flood risks for the surrounding communities. By seamlessly collaborating with other uniformed services and government agencies, the 1502nd RRIBde perfectly executed its mission as the Integrator. Outstanding job to all hands on deck!
