The Laboratory Medicine Division proudly welcomed more than 100 Medical Technology student affiliates from nearly 30 academic institutions as they begin their clinical internship journey at PHC.

The orientation program commenced with welcome remarks from 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐑. 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐌𝐃, 𝐅𝐏𝐒𝐏, 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐓, Chief of the Laboratory Medicine Division, who encouraged the students to embrace every learning opportunity with curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.

The orientation served as an opportunity for students to become acquainted with the division, its various laboratory sections, internship expectations, and the professional standards that guide the delivery of quality laboratory services. The program also provided a venue for clinical instructors and student affiliates to engage with laboratory personnel and gain valuable insights into their upcoming training experience.

As they begin this important phase of their professional journey, we look forward to supporting their growth, learning, and development as future medical laboratory professionals.

As part of its commitment to advancing clinical excellence and patient-centered care, the Renal and Metabolic Division conducted the learning session, "Renal Clinical Update: Strengthening Clinical Care Nursing Competence in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)," on June 4, 2026.

The session provided participants with valuable updates and enhanced competencies in the management of patients undergoing Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, reinforcing evidence-based practices and the critical role of nursing care in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Through continuing education and skills enhancement initiatives such as this, PHC remains dedicated to empowering its healthcare professionals and fostering excellence in specialized patient care.

𝗕𝗘-𝗙𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🧠⚡

Recognizing that stroke awareness is everyone’s responsibility, the Neurology Section conducted a BE-FAST Recognition Orientation for PHC's subcontracted personnel, including our security and housekeeping staff, last May 28.

The session introduced the BE-FAST approach in identifying the signs of stroke and highlighted the vital role that every member of the healthcare environment plays in responding promptly during emergencies.

By equipping even our frontline support personnel with life-saving knowledge, PHC continues to foster a culture of vigilance, teamwork, and patient safety—because when it comes to stroke, every second counts. 💙
