On June 19, 2026, PLT Mark Anthony G. Bantigue, Team Leader of the Davao Oriental Provincial Cyber Response Team (DOPCRT), under the supervision of PCOL Cheryl P. Yatar, Chief of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11 (RACU 11), conducted a barangay visitation and paid courtesy call to Hon. Danny Y. Macaubos, Officer-in-Charge of Barangay Central, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

The activity aimed to strengthen coordination and collaboration between DOPCRT and Barangay Central in addressing cyber-related concerns and enhancing local cybercrime prevention efforts, in support of community-based cybersecurity awareness and response initiatives.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, emphasized the importance of strengthening local partnerships and sustained collaboration to effectively advance grassroots cybercrime prevention efforts.

On June 18, 2026, PLT Cedric C. Suanco, Team Leader of the Davao City Police Cyber Response Team, under the direct supervision of PCOL Cheryl P. Yatar, Chief of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11 (RACU 11), made a formal courtesy call on Dr. Nelson T. Cañete, Director of the National Telecommunications Commission Region XI (NTC XI), together with PCOL Peter B. Madria, City Director of the Davao City Police Office.

The engagement aimed to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the Philippine National Police and NTC XI in addressing the misuse of cellular phone numbers in fraudulent activities and other cyber-enabled crimes. The discussion focused on enhancing information sharing, operational support, and collaborative initiatives to prevent and investigate cyber-related offenses that exploit telecommunications platforms.

The Eastern District Anti-Cybercrime Team (EDACT), led by PCPT Erwin Jake R. Nolasco, Assistant Team Leader, under the supervision of PLTCOL Herlyn Kristine P. Lazaro, Team Leader of EDACT, served as guest lecturers during the Cybercrime Investigation Seminar held on June 19, 2026, at the International Bible Church, Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City.

The activity was attended by investigators and Police Community Relations personnel of the Mandaluyong City Police Station, along with barangay officials and members of the Lupon. It aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in cybercrime investigation, cybersecurity awareness, and digital safety to strengthen their response to cyber-related incidents.

“PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group remains committed to strengthening the capabilities of PNP personnel and stakeholders through continuous education on cybercrime investigation and digital safety, ensuring a more secure and resilient digital environment,” said PMGEN Wilson C. On June 18, 2026, the Eastern District Anti-Cybercrime Team, led by PCPT Joe Carlo D. Leocadio, Chief of the Operations Section, under the supervision of PLTCOL Herlyn Kristine P. Lazaro, Team Leader of EDACT, conducted a lecture on Cybersecurity Awareness and Data Privacy for personnel of the Eastern Police District. The activity was held at the EPD Multi-Purpose Hall, EPD Headquarters, Caruncho Avenue, Brgy. Malinao, Pasig City.

The lecture aimed to increase participants’ awareness of common cyber threats and teach them practical ways to stay safe online. It also helped them understand the importance of data privacy, protecting sensitive information, recognizing cyber risks, and using digital technologies responsibly in the performance of their duties.

On June 17, 2026, PCOL Cheryl P. Yatar, Chief of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11 (RACU 11), welcomed a delegation from the International Justice Mission (IJM) Philippines, led by Atty. LJ Vallinas-Alegria, during a courtesy visit.

The engagement served as a platform to strengthen coordination and partnership between IJM Philippines and RACU 11 in the collective fight against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and other internet-facilitated crimes against children. The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to strengthening child protection efforts, enhancing case coordination, and combating online exploitation.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, underscored the significance of collaborative action in addressing crimes against children in cyberspace, stating, “Collaboration among stakeholders is essential in safeguarding children in the digital space. Through strengthened coordination and shared commitment, we can enhance our efforts against OSAEC and other cyber-enabled crimes against children.”

The Basilan Provincial Cyber Response Team, led by PLT Esnang S. Sarapuddin, Team Leader, under the supervision of PCOL Arnold P. Acosta, Chief of PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group Region BAR, actively participated as Resource Person during the 1st Basilan ICT Summit held on June 18, 2026, held at the Isabela City Civic and Cultural Center in Isabela City, Basilan.

The activity was conducted by the Provincial Government of Basilan in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology. The event highlighted collaborative efforts in advancing digital transformation and strengthening cybersecurity awareness in observance of National ICT Month.

“Through this engagement, PNP ACG reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cyber resilience, promoting digital safety, and supporting multi-sectoral initiatives in building a secure ICT environment for all stakeholders,” said PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group.
