As Scouts, we honor their legacy by remaining true to our Scout Oath and Law--doing our duty to God and country, helping other people at all times, and striving to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, and kind.

As we commemorate this day, may we continue to uphold these values through service, leadership, and good citizenship. For every act of service and commitment to our nation keeps the spirit of independence alive.
