What a memorable day for our Iskolar readers!

Our heartfelt thanks to Kuya Jerry Catabijan, author and publisher of the storybook The Sacred Index Finger, a meaningful story that teaches children the importance of voting wisely and choosing the right leaders.

This was a historic first for Iskolar Reading Center—our readers had the privilege of listening to the author himself read his own book during our story program. It made the story even more meaningful and inspiring for our young readers.

We are also grateful to Kuya Jerry’s entire family for spending the day with us, especially Kuya Chris Canales, who captivated our readers by reading the English version of the story.

To make the day even more special, the event concluded with a warm and delicious serving of lugaw, generously shared by Ate Via Apaliso, who chose to celebrate her birthday with our Iskolar family. Thank you, Ate Via, for your kindness and generous heart!

Moments like these remind us that it truly takes a community to raise readers. Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission of building a community where children discover the joy of reading, one story at a time.

📚Passport Reading Program, PATULOY! 📚

⭐Sa kabila ng ulan, nakatutuwang makita na may mga batang dumalo pa rin sa ating reading center. Ipinapakita nito na ang kanilang pagmamahal sa pagbabasa at pagkatuto ay hindi napipigilan ng anumang hamon.

⭐Ang pagbabasa ay susi sa mas malawak na kaalaman, mas matalas na pag-iisip, at mas magandang kinabukasan. Sa bawat pahinang binubuksan, may bagong aral na natututuhan at bagong mundong natutuklasan. Ang mga batang patuloy na nagbabasa ay unti-unting nahuhubog upang maging mas mahusay, mas malikhain, at mas handa sa mga oportunidad ng buhay.

⭐Saludo kami sa lahat ng batang naglaan ng oras upang matuto ngayong maulan na araw. Patuloy nating mahalin ang pagbabasa, dahil bawat aklat na ating binabasa ay isang hakbang tungo sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan!

📚✨ Speed Reading Program, SUCCESS! ✨📚

☑️Another exciting and productive day at Iskolar as we successfully completed the third reading session of our Speed Reading Program! 72 readers participated enthusiastically, showing focus, determination, and a growing love for reading.

☑️Activities like speed reading help children improve their reading fluency, comprehension, concentration, and confidence. As they practice reading regularly, they become faster and more accurate readers while expanding their vocabulary and understanding of different texts. These skills not only help them in school but also prepare them for lifelong learning.

☑️We are proud of every child who gave their best today. Keep turning those pages, young readers—every book you read brings you one step closer to becoming a stronger, smarter, and more confident learner!
