Ang LOCAL Voter’s Certification ay maaari lamang makuha sa mismong Office of the Election Officer (OEO) ng lugar kung saan ka rehistradong botante.

The #𝐀𝐤𝐨𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) brought together students and young leaders on 22 June 2026 at the Graduate School Function Hall of Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) in Tacloban City, providing a valuable platform for learning, engagement, and civic empowerment.

As a steadfast partner in voter education, COMELEC Region VIII proudly contributed to this meaningful initiative through the discussion of Atty. Ma. Goretti V. Caseñas-Cañas, Acting Provincial Election Supervisor of Leyte, on “𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬.” Complementing the caravan’s broader focus on human rights and civic participation, the session provided participants with a deeper understanding of the electoral system and emphasized the importance of informed, responsible, and meaningful engagement in democratic processes.

By equipping the youth with essential knowledge and fostering greater awareness of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, the caravan encouraged participants to become active contributors to community development and nation-building. Through initiatives such as these, young people are empowered to take an active role in strengthening democracy and shaping a more participatory and inclusive society.

Together, let us continue to inspire the next generation to exercise their right to vote and actively participate in nation-building.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | The Commission on Elections Regional Office VIII held a 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 today, 16 June 2026, at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, COMELEC Regional Office VIII Building, in coordination with representatives from the City Government of Tacloban, Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office VIII, Department of Public Works and Highways Tacloban City District Engineering Office, Bureau of Internal Revenue - Revenue District Office No. 88, and the New Bus Terminal Management Office.

The meeting served as a venue for collaborative planning and coordination in preparation for the upcoming Clean-up Drive, reaffirming the participating agencies' shared commitment to environmental protection, public health and safety, community engagement, and waste awareness.

As public servants, we recognize that preserving the environment is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can create meaningful and lasting impacts that benefit not only our communities today but also future generations.
