Today, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM, RCMB VIII joined the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for the 2nd Quarter CY 2026 as part of its continuing commitment to disaster preparedness and workplace safety.

Regular earthquake drills help ensure that everyone knows what to do before, during, and after an earthquake, ultimately contributing to a safer and more resilient community.

QUEZON CITY – The National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) successfully concluded its 30th annual Labor Dispute Management Course (LDMC) on May 12 to 15, 2026 via Zoom platform. Marking its 30th year, the course remains a testament to the Board’s continued commitment to upskill its corps of Regional Branch Directors and Conciliator-Mediators in navigating the increasingly complex labor environment.

[REPOST] ASEAN has successfully concluded negotiations for the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), the region’s first comprehensive digital economy agreement.

Designed to make digital trade, payments, online transactions, and cross-border digital services more seamless, DEFA aims to unlock new opportunities for businesses, workers, entrepreneurs, and consumers across Southeast Asia.

With implementation, studies indicate ASEAN’s digital economy could potentially reach up to USD 2 trillion by 2030.

The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch VIII participates today in the training on Property and Supply Management System conducted by the Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office VIII – Regional Training Section at the COA Regional Office VIII, Palo, Leyte.

The training provides participants with valuable knowledge and practical insights on the proper management, accountability, and safeguarding of government properties and supplies, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.

Through capacity-building initiatives such as this, NCMB RB VIII continues to strengthen the competencies of its workforce in support of efficient, transparent, and accountable public service.
