“TACLOBAN PS3 APPREHENDS TWO STREET LEVEL DRUG PERSONALITIES IN BUY-BUST OPERATION”
NEW KAWAYAN, TACLOBAN CITY—Drug enforcement operatives of Tacloban City Police Office, Police Station 3 led by PLT ARCHIBALD C BALAIS under the supervision of PCPT KEMY G BAS, OIC, PS3, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 8, successfully apprehended two street level drug suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted in the morning of June 26, 2026 at Tacloban City.
Authorities identified the suspects as alias “Pokoy”24-year-old, and alias “Eddie” 54-year-old both are residents of Tacloban City.
Seized from the suspects possession and control are the ff; One (1)
piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance
suspected shabu (subject of sale); Four (4) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white
crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (possession); One (1) piece1 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white
crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” (possession) ; and the buy-bust money.
In strict adherence to standard procedures, all confiscated items were immediately marked and inventoried at the scene in the presence of required witnesses. The suspects and evidence were then brought to TCPO Police Station 3 for documentation and further processing. The suspected illegal drugs will undergo laboratory examination at the Regional Forensic Unit 8.
PCPT Bas emphasized, ““We encourage everyone to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and support programs aimed at preventing drug abuse and trafficking. Illegal drugs continue to threaten the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, especially the youth. Let us work together in promoting a drug-free environment where every citizen can live safely, productively, and with hope for a better future.””
A criminal complaint is being prepared against the suspect for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
