The safety of our learners, teachers, and non teaching personnel is our top priority. In response to recent events elsewhere, Leyte National High School is strengthening campus security with the following measures:
1. Effective immediately, LNHS shall conduct routine bag inspections at Gate 1 (Gabaldon Building) and Gate 3. These gates shall serve as ENTRANCE ONLY points.
2. Gate 2 is for EXIT ONLY.
3. Vehicle entry is suspended for NON-LNHS EMPLOYEES.
4. Only vehicles owned by LNHS employees, LNHS MPC employees, and vehicles transporting learners with disabilities and those enrolled in the Special Needs Education (SNED) program shall be allowed entry into the campus.
5. All visitors/parents must present a valid ID and sign the visitor log upon entry.
6. Security personnel shall continue conducting roving patrols during class hours, health breaks, and lunchtime. In addition, random bag inspections may be conducted in classrooms in the presence of the learnersโ teacher.
7. The School Head, Assistant School Heads, and Department Heads will maintain active classroom monitoring.
8. Uniformed Security Personnel will be visibly present on campus.
9. Parents/guardians are requested to check their childrenโs bags before leaving home and, whenever possible, provide packed snacks/lunch from home to minimize unnecessary movement in and out of the campus.
All inspections and security procedures will be conducted respectfully and professionally.

Preparedness begins with awareness. As part of the schoolโs continuing efforts to strengthen campus safety, the LNHS community is urged to take time to understand and observe the established protocols for human-induced hazards.
In moments of uncertainty, knowledge becomes our first line of defense; by remaining vigilant and adhering to these safety measures, we reinforce a culture of responsibilityโone that helps create a learning environment where every learner and educator can feel safe, protected, and supported.

With classes set to resume tomorrow, the LNHS community is reminded to faithfully observe the safety measures outlined in DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026. As we move forward from the recent incident, let us do our part by adhering to these guidelines and fostering a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for all.

The classroom doors reopen tomorrow, June 24, as face-to-face classes officially resume at Leyte National High School. With learning once again taking center stage, the LNHS community moves forward with resilience and purpose.
We recognize that the events of recent days may have brought fear and uncertainty to many. However, rest assured that the school, in close coordination with the concerned authorities, has strengthened its safety and security measures to help ensure the well-being of every learner, teacher, and personnel.
