Ang Tacloban City Police Office sa pamumuno ni PCOL NOELITO A GETIGAN, City Director, ay patuloy na pinaiigting ang seguridad sa mga paaralan sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga g**o, at iba pang kawani ng paaralan.
Ang layunin ng aktibidad ay upang mas mapagtibay ang pakikigpag-ugnayan ng PNP sa komunidad at mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mag-aaral tungkol sa pagpapanatili ng kanilang kaligtasan habang nasa loob ng paaralan.
Hinihikayat ng TCPO ang publiko na huwag mag-atubiling humingi ng tulong sa Kapulisan sa oras ng pangangailangan.

The Tacloban City Police Office (TCPO) continues its intensive investigation into the shooting incident that occurred at San Jose National High School.
Based on the latest verified report:
• 3 fatalities (2 females, 1 male)
• 15 wounded individuals (6 females, 9 males)
• 5 injured individuals not related to Gunshot (3 females, 2 males)
TCPO remains committed to ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation while coordinating with concerned agencies to provide assistance to the victims and their families.
We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of those who were injured. We also urge the public to remain calm, avoid sharing unverified information, and rely only on official updates from authorized sources.

PNP STATEMENT ON THE SHOOTING INCIDENT IN TACLOBAN CITY
The Philippine National Police (PNP) expresses deep concern over the shooting incident that occurred this morning inside a school in Tacloban City, which resulted in the deaths of three (3) minors and injuries to seven (7) other minors.
Responding police personnel immediately secured the area and took into custody two (2) Children in Conflict with the Law (CICLs) who were allegedly involved in the incident.The two fi****ms allegedly used in the incident have likewise been recovered. Investigation is ongoing to determine the complete circumstances surrounding the case, including the reported bullying-related grudge as one of the angles being pursued.
Police Regional Office 8 has been directed to ensure a thorough investigation and the proper handling of the case in accordance with the law. At the same time, all police units are reminded to sustain police visibility and preventive patrols in and around schools, and to continue close coordination with school authorities, local government units, parents, and community stakeholders to further strengthen safety and security in educational institutions.
To our students—you deserve to feel safe in your schools. To our parents—we hear your concerns and we share them. And to those who would bring harm into our learning institutions—the full force of the law awaits you.
Our schools must remain sanctuaries of learning, not scenes of violence. The PNP will not rest until every child can walk through their school gates without fear.
The PNP appeals to the public to remain calm, refrain from spreading unverified information, and allow investigators to complete their work. We likewise urge anyone with relevant information to cooperate with authorities.
