AAP For Malnutrition & Stunting Livestock Components

Veterinary Hub Office Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam organised series of awareness sessions for Malnourished families of District Mirpur khas towards the behaviour change of community to reduce the rate of stunting and Malnutrition through the provisions of productive livestock assets and use of diversified food underSindh Accelerated Action Plan Sehtmand Sindh livestock Components .

Agriculture for Nutrition:

Traditionally, the agriculture sector is focusing on producing high yielding crops to fuel economic growth and feed the world's population.

— AAP Agriculture for Nutrition Program, Department of Agriculture, Supply & Prices Government of Sindh strengthens the links between Agriculture and Nutrition by implementing the most effective approaches to retain and enhance nutrition in food along the agricultural value chain – from food production to consumption and sell.

— In this regard department is implementing program in Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas & Badin Districts of Sindh.

— For the implementation of the program a four-day training of trainers (TOT) under AAP Agriculture for Nutrition (A4N) program has been initiated today at Hyderabad. It aims to built up capacity of field staff of agriculture extension and implementing partner. On first day Mr. Hidayatullah Chhajro DG Agriculture Extension Sindh Hyderabad inaugurated the program. While panel of experts including Dr. Afzal Qureshi, Dr. Farah Naz, Miss Nazish Memon, Mr. Muhammad Khan Jarwar , Mr. Shabir Khan along with Program Coordinator Mr. Deedar Ahmed Bhutto and Deputy Program Coordinator & Agriculture for Nutrition Expert Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Nangraj, shared valuable knowledge among participants about Agriculture, Nutrition and their linkages.
