The registration period for our Linocut Printmaking Workshop has been extended, and the workshop will now take place on 18th June 2026.
This gives more participants the opportunity to join us for a hands-on introduction to relief printmaking. Learn how to carve, ink, and hand-print your own designs using traditional linoleum block techniques, and take home your finished prints along with your carved block.
If you were unable to register earlier, this extension gives you another opportunity to join us for a hands-on introduction to relief printmaking.

Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) presents a Linocut Printmaking Workshop in collaboration with visual artist and creative facilitator Tayyaba Qureshi ()! β¨
Explore the art of relief printmaking in this hands-on linocut printmaking workshop where youβll learn how to carve, ink, and hand-print your own designs using traditional linoleum block printing techniques. Experience the full creative process of transforming ideas into bold, textured, handmade prints while learning the fundamentals of composition, texture, and layering.
Through guided practice, youβll experiment with professional printmaking tools and techniques to create your own unique set of hand-pulled prints in this immersive art workshop in Islamabad.
Participants will take home their finished prints along with their carved linoleum blocks, allowing them to continue their printmaking practice beyond the workshop! π«
Tayyaba Qureshi () is a visual artist and creative facilitator with a Bachelorβs in Fine Arts. Her practice explores texture, process, and visual storytelling through drawing, mixed media, and experimental making. She creates accessible, process-led spaces for experimentation and personal expression.

Pakistan National Council of the Arts has organized puppet shows on 22nd May at National Puppet Theatre Hall, Rawalpindi and on 23rd May at PNCA Auditorium, Islamabad for families and children.
Our traditional moral stories, skits , folk dances were presented through our beautifully crafted puppet characters.
Families and children applauded performances and live interactive session of chacha qamaru.
National Puppet Theatre is presenting its shows with a focused objective of promotion of traditional puppetry and using puppetry as an effective medium of communication to educate children , youth and elders in social, economic, moral and environmental issues besides presenting them them our rich cultural heritage.

PNCA proudly organized βMehfil-e-Samaaβ on the occasion of World Cultural Day, featuring mesmerizing performances by the Bakhshi Brothers Qawwal, Wajeeh Nizami, Raasta Instrumental Band, and talented cultural artists.
The vibrant evening was graced by Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage & Culture, along with distinguished guests, diplomats, media representatives, and art lovers.

π΅π°π¨π³ The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting officially celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Pak-China Friendship with a grand ceremony and cultural show.
PNCA collaborated in the event and was honored with a Shield of Recognition for outstanding performance.
Mr. Inayat Ur Rahman, Deputy Director (Performing Arts) , received the shield on behalf of PNCA.
The Chief Guest, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, presented the shield.

Students from PAF Finishing School recently visited PNCA National Art Gallery, Islamabad for an educational and cultural experience. During the visit, they explored diverse artworks and exhibitions showcasing Pakistanβs vibrant artistic traditions and creative expressions. The students also gained insight into the countryβs cultural heritage while interacting with the inspiring environment of the national art institution.
