Pakistan Kissan Mazdoor Tehreek and Roots for Equity is commemorating March 8, International Working Women's Day by launching the documentary "Manifestation of a class struggle: Women farmers in the dairy and livestock sector of Punjab, Pakistan," The documentary provides an in-depth understanding of the struggles that small and landless farmers are undergoing locally while contextualizing the struggles to pinpoint global actors and oppressive forces such as WTO that are the true culprits behind farmers’ plight. There is an acute need to fight corporate capture of our resources by imperialist institutions and call for movements to stand up against neoliberal policies. There cannot be genuine democracy and women's liberation till there is equitable distribution of land ensuring land to the tiller, especially women farmers. Genuine Democracy means decent Livelihood and control over Land and Livestock!

میرے وطن میرے بس میں ہو تو وزیر کو تخت دار کردوں!

دودھ بیچنے والی سترہ کمپنیوں میں سے دو کمپنیاں تو کسان یا گوالے سے ،سرے سے دودھ خریدتی ھی نہیں ہیں۔
اگر یہ بدبخت دودھ خرید ھی نہیں رھے تو پھر دودھ کے نام پر ھم ان سے جو خرید رھے ہیں وہ کیا ھے؟
اور اس گھناؤنے کاروبار میں ڈاکٹرز کاکردار بھی ملاحظہ کیجئے۔

حقیقت یہی ہے
پاکستان جب بنایا گیا اس وقت سے لے آج تک وہی لوگ حاکم بھی ہیں اور وہی لوگ اس ملک کے اصل وارث ہیں، کسان، مزدوروں، مچھیروں اور عام آدمی کا یہاں کوئی حق نہیں، ہم نے پیروں میں غلامی کی وہ زنجیر باندھی ہوئی ہے جس کے تالے کی چابی بھی ہمارے ہی پاس ہے مگر کھولیں گے کیوں؟
یہ ملک صرف جاگیرداروں، سرمایہ داروں_ اور افسر شاہی کا ہے۔ عوام گئی با۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔!
