Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) is responsible for Planning, Designing Water Supply, Sewerage & Drainage facilities in District Lahore.
Water And Sanitation Agency (WASA) is an agency of Lahore Development Authority (LDA). It was established by Lahore Development Authority in 1976 for the planning, designing, development and maintenance of water supply, sewerage and drainage system in Lahore City. WASA consists of three wings viz. Engineering, Operation & Maintenance and Finance Admin & Revenue. These wings are further divided int
o various Directorates. An essential component of this mandate is the provision of safe & reliable water to satisfy the demand of all sectors. The Organization of WASA is headed by a Managing Director, who is further assisted by three Deputy Managing Directors; DMD Finance, Administration & Revenue, DMD Operation & Maintenance, and DMD Engineering. There are nearly 6200 WASA employees in various categories. WASA gets Revenue from selling Water, Sewerage and Aquifer charges. The Provincial Government allocates share of property tax with WASA to meet its expenditures. The budget and increase in user charges is approved by Government of the Punjab. The sanction of expenditure and procurement is carried under financial rules of the government. WASA Lahore is striving to be an ideal organization that provides quality service to its exceeding consumers who expect excellence of services through WASA's devoted and committed staff. WASA Lahore aims at contributing towards making Lahore city cleaner and more environment friendly by:
Offering quality consumer services in the field of Water Supply and Sanitation. Ensuring cost effective measures in development works and operation & maintenance. Adhering to professional ethics and zero tolerance for corruption. Revenue generation at least sufficient enough to meet the non-development expenditure and to make the system self- sustainable. Training and motivating employees and to develop cooperation and communication at all levels.

Vice Chairman WASA Visits Low-Lying Areas to Review Drainage Operations
Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Vice Chairman WASA Chaudhry Shehbaz Ahmad visited Qartaba Chowk to inspect ongoing drainage operations.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman reviewed the field situation and directed WASA teams to further accelerate water drainage activities across the city.
He instructed officials to ensure the earliest possible clearance of all major roads and emphasized utilizing all available resources to swiftly drain water from low-lying areas.
WASA Lahore remains fully active in the field to facilitate citizens and maintain smooth traffic flow during the rainy weather.
