Ms. Fahmida Iqbal Khan, Deputy Country Representative of UN Women Pakistan, commends the Women Development Department Punjab. She praised impactful initiatives like She Threads, Daycare centers, Beautician courses and Market linkages driving economic independence for women under the leadership of CM Punjab.

The Women Development Department (WDD), Government of the Punjab, hosted a delegation from UN Women for a comprehensive briefing on the province’s socio-economic empowerment initiatives for women.
During the session, department officials and UN Women representatives engaged in a constructive dialogue focused on advancing gender-responsive policies, strengthening institutional partnerships and scaling impactful programs to uplift women across Punjab.
