A historic milestone in Israel–Somaliland relations.
Israel was honoured to welcome President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi during his State Visit to Israel and the opening of Somaliland's embassy in Jerusalem.
As a young nation that has spent decades building its institutions, developing its economy, and strengthening its place in the international community, Somaliland's story is one of determination, resilience and vision.
Israel understands the challenges and opportunities that come with nation-building. Since its founding, Israel has transformed adversity into innovation, investing in its people, institutions and future.
The opening of Somaliland's embassy marks more than a diplomatic achievement. It reflects a shared belief in building strong societies, creating opportunities for future generations, and forging partnerships that contribute to stability, prosperity and growth.
We look forward to this new chapter in the friendship between Israel and Somaliland.

🇮🇱 A remarkable milestone in medical innovation.
An 8-month-old baby has become the first person in the world to receive an experimental gene therapy delivered directly into the brain to treat a rare and devastating genetic disorder.
The groundbreaking treatment was carried out at Schneider Children's Medical Center in Israel and brought together physicians, researchers and biotechnology experts in a pioneering effort to save a young life.
Equally inspiring is the team behind the achievement, comprising both Jewish and Arab Israeli medical professionals working side by side in pursuit of a common goal.
This story reflects the power of innovation, collaboration and hope, and the potential of science to transform lives.
