During the school holidays, 203 student leaders from SP headed to Batam, Indonesia for the SP Student Leadership Programme (LEAP) Camp! 🙌

It's an experiential leadership programme designed to challenge our student leaders beyond their comfort zones and develop the skills needed to lead with confidence 🫡

Through team challenges, reflection sessions and real-world leadership scenarios, our student leaders explored what it means to lead in complex environments while learning and applying key leadership concepts alongside their peers and mentors!

More than just a camp, LEAP Camp is about growing as a leader, building resilience, and discovering how to bring out the best in themselves and others 🌟

🏆 HUGE congratulations to Benedict, Raakin, Ethan, and Aaron for clinching 3rd Place at the Singapore Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge (SAUVC) 2026! 🏆

SAUVC is an international competition supported by the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) Singapore Chapter and jointly organised by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore Polytechnic since 2013! This year, the competition was held overseas in conjunction with the IEEE OCEANS Conference in Sanya, China.

Xin chào! 🇻🇳 What do Vietnamese coffee, supply chain analytics and overseas adventures have in common?

For Samuel and Trent from SP's Diploma in Maritime Business, they're all part of their internship experience in Ho Chi Minh City, gaining hands-on experience while embracing life in a new country!

From supply chain analytics and Business Intelligence projects to exploring Vietnam's vibrant culture, cuisine and landscapes, their overseas internship has challenged them to step outside their comfort zones and grow both professionally and personally 🌏✨

One thing they both learnt? Some of the best opportunities come when you're willing to take a chance on something new.

Did you know SP had our very own Content Creation Hackathon? 🧐📱

Organised by Re/Define from SP's Media, Arts & Design School (MAD). This polytechnic-wide competition brought together students across disciplines to create impactful digital content for brands and social causes.

In partnership with NTUC FairPrice Group 🤝🏻and supported by Hepmil Media Group 🙌🏼 , this hackathon showcased SP's strengths in creative and digital capabilities, as well as generate excitement and buzz across campus!

This event was held from 24th April to 4th May 2026, with approximately S$5,000 worth of prizes to be given out to all participants. Selected student works were also featured on FairPrice Group's social media platforms, offering participants valuable exposure and the rare opportunity to have their content showcased to a national audience! 🤩

As part of the pilot batch of the SP-NUS University Accelerated Pathway Programme (UAPP) with the National University (NUS) Faculty of Science, Soh You Hong, our Diploma in Applied Chemistry (DAPC) alumnus got the opportunity to take university-level modules while still in SP. 📚

From managing NUS lessons alongside her internship, to exploring new areas like ecology and molecular symmetry, the experience gave her an early glimpse into university life and helped shape her future study plans.

With support from her SP lecturers and peers, You Hong successfully completed the programme and has since accepted the offer to pursue Chemistry at NUS! 🧪✨

Meet Tristan, a proud Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (DARE) alumnus and Institutional Medallist from the Class of 2021, and now on his way to graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS)! 🤩

While he was in SP, he was in a couple of CCAs like SP Debate, DP Makers, and the SP Aviation Club! Even with this, he still managed to clinch the SP Engineering Scholarship! 👏
