Workplace safety and health (WSH) is no longer defined by compliance alone. As industries evolve, organisations today are being challenged to strengthen systems, drive better outcomes, and take practical action that creates safer and healthier workplaces for the future.
At The Singapore WSH Conference 2026, industry leaders and practitioners will come together to explore how organisations can move beyond intent towards measurable WSH outcomes.
Through cross-sector perspectives, delegates will gain insights into how different industries are strengthening WSH performance, aligning stakeholders, and applying practical solutions that support national WSH targets.
Stronger WSH outcomes do not happen by chance. Rather, they are built through shared learning, collective commitment, and practical action that creates lasting impact across industries.

Banksmen and traffic controllers play a critical role in maintaining the safe movement of vehicles and equipment at work sites.
However, they may be exposed to significant risks as they are often close to moving vehicles, reversing operations or construction equipment. Serious or fatal accidents can occur when a banksman or traffic controller enters a danger zone in the course of work.

WSH professionals play a critical role in preventing their colleagues from getting hurt at work.
This is an ethical responsibility that must be upheld with professionalism, integrity, and accountability. Personal or financial gain must never be allowed to compromise workers’ safety and lives.
The WSH Council calls on all WSH professionals and workers in safety-related roles to always choose safety, uphold integrity, and honour the trust placed in them to keep workplaces safe.

Ahead of July, when the construction, manufacturing, and transportation & storage industries typically experience seasonally higher injury rates, the WSH Council urges all companies to remain vigilant and step up measures to safeguard workers’ safety and health.
Companies should strengthen efforts to prevent the common factors contributing to workplace incidents, such as:
💦 Slips, trips, and falls (STF);
⚠️ Falls from height (FFH);
🔧 Failure of structures and equipment;
⚙️ Machine-related incidents; and
🚚 Vehicle-related incidents.

Warmer and drier months may be ahead for Singapore. According to the Meteorological Service Singapore, such conditions are expected from June to October, alongside an increased risk of transboundary haze.
As temperatures rise, so do risks. In hot working environments, pushing through fatigue may seem productive, but it can increase the risk of mistakes, impaired judgement, and heat stress.
🎙️ In Part 1 of our “Let's Talk: Changing Skies, Changing Risks at Work” episode, our guests discuss why rest breaks matter, common misconceptions about productivity, and what organisations can do to better protect workers in a warming climate.
