πŸ”Œ Make smarter, greener choices when buying imported appliances

From 1 Jul 2026, new regulations by NEA will make it easier for consumers and businesses to choose energy-efficient appliances and avoid higher lifecycle energy costs and carbon footprints:

πŸ“‹ The Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme and Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) will now apply to regulated goods imported by end users for their own use. Before importing, end users must ensure their goods meet MEPS requirements and register them at go.gov.sg/elsportal. Registration is free and processed within 7 working days.

🚫 Advertisements of non-compliant regulated goods, including those on online platforms, will no longer be allowed. This helps to ensure that consumers in Singapore are offered only compliant products.

🀝 Government schemes such as 's Energy Efficiency Grant and the Climate Friendly Households Programme are available to support the upfront cost of energy-efficient purchases.
