We said hello to a new and improved Bukit Batok Library earlier this year. Now, Ang Mo Kio Library and Queenstown Library are getting their refresh next, with new library spaces and experiences for reading and discovery!
📍In preparation for its relocation to AMK Hub, Ang Mo Kio Library will be temporarily closed.
📅Last day of operations: 31 July 2026
Reopening: 20 November 2026
📚 Patrons can look forward to greater connectivity and a refreshed library experience inspired by the green spaces and landmarks iconic to the neighbourhood.
During the relocation period, patrons can visit the self-service Browse-n-Borrow kiosk and Sit-n-Read Node located at level 4 of AMK Hub, or the nearby Bishan Library, Yishun Library and Toa Payoh Library to continue accessing library resources.
📍Queenstown Library will be temporarily closed for revamp, following extensive preparatory work due to its status as a gazetted conserved building.
📅Last day of operations: 30 August 2026
Reopening: Late-2028
📚As Singapore’s oldest public library, its iconic façade will be preserved, while the rich heritage of the library and surrounding Queenstown community will be woven into the library’s new design and offerings.
