Two weeks ago, we celebrated the launch of Gym Tonic with a special video that captured the spirit of this meaningful milestone.
Featuring our sponsor, the Lien Foundation, our Head of Senior Services, Gym Tonic health coaches, and seniors whose lives have been enriched through the programme, the video highlights the collective effort behind Gym Tonic and its positive impact on active and healthy ageing in the community.
More than just a fitness programme, Gym Tonic empowers seniors to build strength, confidence, and independence, enabling them to age well and stay connected to their community.

As children grow, play evolves too. While they're becoming more independent and eager to explore, they continue to learn best through meaningful, hands-on play that builds confidence and curiosity.
Children at this age want to be part of everything, yet they may not always have the abilities to participate fully alongside older children. That's why it's important to tailor play activities so they're challenging enough to be engaging, while still allowing children to experience success. Better yet, invite them to create their own versions of familiar gamesโit encourages creativity, problem-solving, and a sense of ownership.
Simple activities like treasure hunts, Hide-and-Seek, or building and creating with blocks, playdough, or recyclable materials are often met with an enthusiastic "Yes!" Through these playful experiences, children develop confidence, resilience, creativity, and important life skillsโone game at a time.

To celebrate International Day of Play 2026, which was observed on 11 June, we're sharing a 5-day "Why Play Matters" series to highlight the importance of play at every stage of life, along with simple ideas you can try today!
Every stage of childhood brings new opportunities to learn and grow through play. During the first four years of life, a child's brain develops rapidly, and everyday experiences help build the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.
Through play, young children develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills as they explore the world around them. If you have little ones in your life, set aside time to play with them today. The moments you share now can make a lasting difference.

Compassion does not always come in grand gestures. Sometimes, it is found in the everyday moments โ offering a helping hand, sharing a word of encouragement, or simply being present for someone in need.
As we conclude the Ways to be a Good Samaritan series, we celebrate the many small acts of care that strengthen and connect our communities.
Each act of compassion has the power to make a difference. Together, let us continue creating a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.

After a hospital discharge, Mdm Eng faced challenges with mobility and carrying out daily activities independently. Through regular participation in rehabilitation and strengthening exercises at REACH, she gradually regained strength, improved her mobility, and rebuilt her confidence.
