📣 Dear Students,
As of May 22, 2026, the renewal rights for borrowed library materials will be increased to 8 for undergraduate students and 3 for master's and doctoral students for the summer term. This adjustment will be effective until September 16, 2026.

Please note that, starting from the date of renewal, renewals grant an extension equal to the loan period defined in your user profile; multiple renewals made on the same day do not further extend the due date.

Due to the Sacrifice Feast, the opening hours of Bilkent University Libraries have been changed. On May 25-26 and May 28-30, 2026, the Circulation, Reserve, and Reference Departments of the Main Campus Library will provide services between 09:00 and 17:00. The Main Campus Library will be closed on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Additionally, the East Campus Library will be closed from May 25 to May 30, 2026.

Due to the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day on May 19, the library operating hours have been adjusted.
On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, the Main Campus Library will be open from 09:00 AM to 11.30 PM. As part of Finals Week, the A Block study areas will remain open until 03:00 AM.
The East Campus Library will be closed on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

GRA421 Illustration students' handmade books — each a unique visual interpretation of a single poem — are now on display at the Main Campus Library exhibition desk. Created under the guidance of instructor Birsu S. Çeltek, the works draw on poetry by Nazım Hikmet, Ferhan Şensoy, Edgar Allan Poe, Elizabeth Bishop, and others, reimagined through illustration, varied materials, binding techniques, and original book design.

🌟 Our librarian Füsun Yurdakul participated in the VIII National Academic Resource Sharing Workshop, hosted by Bartın University under the theme “Interlibrary Collaboration and New Approaches in the Age of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence,” with a presentation titled “Collection Management through Data Mining.”

Bilkent University Library invites researchers and faculty members to join Wiley’s Free Training Program 2026, a series of online sessions covering current topics in scholarly communication and academic publishing.

The program includes sessions on research integrity and ethics, responsible AI use in publishing, accessibility in scholarly communication, clinical research reporting, and the future of academic publishing.
