📢 Facility Update – Abbeville Recreation Complex

We are pleased to announce that the trees have been cleared and the power lines have been repaired at the Abbeville Recreation Complex. The complex is now available for normal daily use.

However, both the Herndon Ward Gym and the Recreation Center Gym will remain closed until Wednesday morning due to unforeseen maintenance issues.

We hope to resume our Senior Walking Program on Wednesday as scheduled.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to safely serve all of our citizens. We appreciate your continued support and will provide updates as they become available. ❤️🏃‍♀️🏀

The Abbeville Parks & Recreation Department invites all adults ages 62 & up to enjoy free indoor walking Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–10:30 AM in our climate-controlled gym.

✅ Pedometers available
✅ Sneakers required

🏀 Registration opens June 18 for the APRD Summer Youth Pick-Up Basketball League!

Boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to join us for fun, safe, and active summer basketball. Games will be played Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Herndon Ward Gym.

💲 Cost: $10 per child
📅 League Dates: June 30 – July 23, 2026

⚽ Soccer Registration is Almost Here! ⚽

Registration for the 2026 Mighty Mite Soccer League opens June 26!
Boys and girls ages 4–12 are invited to join the fun. Registration is $30 per child and will remain open through July 19.
