The burn ban for Vermilion Parish issued on February 23, 2026, has been lifted effective immediately.

The Vermilion Parish Permit office is closed today, Monday, Febraury 9, 2026. It will re-open Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Tomorrow, Monday, January 26th, 2026 the trash trucks (Waste Connections) will start pick up after 7am due to the weather conditions.

The Vermilion Parish Police Jury office will be closed Monday, January 26th, 2026.

With the upcoming freezing temperatures now is the time to perform a home check to help prevent disaster. Winter is the peak time for home fires.

The Pwrmit Office is closed this afternoon (12/12/25) and will reopen Monday, December 15, 2025.

For the week of Christmas & New Years the Thursday routes will be picked up on Friday & Friday routes will be picked up on Saturday.
