Abbotsford Public Library

Thursday, June 18th, archaeologist Sean Sullivan, The Mammoth Hunter visited the Abbotsford Public Library as part of our summer program, Unearth A Story. Not only did we learn what a prehistoric Mammoth hunt would entail, we witnessed early fire making, dart throwing, listened to the music of the ice age and got hands-On experience with artifacts. Thank you so much for a fun and educational experience.

For June's adult craft night, crafters embroidered hats. No fingers were poked and fun was held had by all. Crafters either relearned or were introduced to the backstitch, the split stitch, and the lazy daisy stitch. I love everyone's hats, they all turned out so good. 🩷

Mammoth Hunter starts at 6:00pm!

Last Friday we put out the library's fun day activities that were to be held last Thursday but postponed due to the rain. Here are the photos! Thank you Huey's Hideaway Children's Museum for letting us use the bouncy house! We also had giant bubbles and sidewalk chalk.

Our summer reading kickoff event, held Thursday, June 11th, was a great success despite the rain. Thanks everyone for coming out and all of our volunteers for helping. Remember to keep doing your reading and stop in the library for more fun summer reading events!
