When the 4th Infantry Division needed a capability to remotely monitor beyond line-of-sight dead spaces they contacted the experts: Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PdM FPS).
To meet the challenge, PdM FPS moved fast to provide equipment and training on the Expendable Unattended Ground Sensor (E-UGS). These small, seismic sensors are buried in the ground, giving Army small maneuver units the power to detect mounted and dismounted targets.

Training Matters.
Soldiers from the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade and the 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion received training on the suite of intelligence software systems that will be part of HADES, the U.S. Army's newest aerial ISR system. The training ensures operators are mission-ready, capable of delivering actionable intelligence from day one.

Recently, a significant shift in the Army’s cyber acquisition landscape took place as PM Cyber & Space conducted a Change of Charter Ceremony that combined two distinct portfolios, Product Manager Information Warfare Cyber Development and Product Manager Information Warfare Cyber Infrastructure, into Product Manager Offensive Cyber Warfare—a unified entity aimed at streamlining the delivery of offensive cyber capabilities to the cyber warrior.
During the event, Lt. Col. Micah DiGrezio (formerly PdM Information Warfare Cyber Development) and Lt. Col. Jonathan Talis (formerly PdM Information Warfare Cyber Infrastructure) transitioned their responsibilities to Product Manager Offensive Cyber Warfare, led by Lt. Col. Erik Kifune.

Product Director Combat Terrain Information Systems (PD CTIS) briefed Maj. Gen. Christopher G. Beck on the future of Army reconnaissance during the 2026 Protection and Maneuver Support Combined Industry Exhibition and Senior Leader Forum, held last month at .
PD CTIS demonstrated to Beck the latest version of ENFIRE (Instrument Set, Reconnaissance and Surveying) and the Advanced Reconnaissance Kit Family of Systems (ARK FoS) Engineer surrogate prototype (ARK-EN).
Beck provided PD CTIS guidance on how he envisions the future capabilities being leveraged in the field. This was great validation that PD CTIS is on the right track with ARK FoS – great work team!

CPE ISW Chief of Staff Kyle Perkins delivered the closing keynote speech for Day 2 of the annual AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days.
Perkins discussed how the CPE is realigning in conjunction with the Army’s new PAE structure and acquisition reforms.
“We must evolve our acquisition enterprise to be faster, more complex, and more connected than ever before to keep pace with modern warfare,” said Perkins. “The reform delivers faster results, clearer accountability, and stronger collaboration that drives Army readiness and modernization at pace.”
He also highlighted CPE ISW’s dynamic portfolio of systems that support the Soldier.
“Our systems are leveraged at every echelon – we’re learning daily about the value they bring to the active fight,” Perkins said. “The CPE is responsible for a combination of approximately 80 programs of record and quick reaction capabilities.”

Effective operations for offensive and defensive cyber warfare is critical for our national security.
During a panel at the 2026 AFCEA Fort Belvoir Industry Day event, Catherine Hammer, Wayne Sok, Marquita Harris, and Lt. Col. Erik Kifune discussed capabilities and the upcoming merger of offensive and defensive cyber operations. The merge will enhance the speed and agility of Army acquisition and strengthen operational readiness in the cyber domain.
They wrapped with opportunities to partner with industry to deliver cyber operations.

At a ceremony last week, Lt. Col. Zach Denton relinquished the Dismounted Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Charter as Lt. Col. Kyle Hurst assumed the Combat Ready PNT Charter.
Combat Ready PNT combines the Mounted and Dismounted product offices under a unified effort to accelerate delivery of assured PNT capabilities to Soldiers.
