Today we had the opportunity to welcome two soon to be graduates at the fire station who stopped by to learn more about what it means to serve as a firefighter.

We spoke with them about the training, dedication, teamwork, and commitment required in this profession, along with the many different paths available within fire and emergency services. It is always encouraging to see young people exploring a future in public safety and showing genuine interest in serving their community.

We appreciate them taking the time to visit, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of the work we do each day. The future of the fire service is built on moments like this when curiosity becomes direction and interest develops into purpose.

We look forward to seeing where their journey takes them and hope to welcome them back one day as members of the fire service family.

The future is in good hands.

β˜€οΈπŸš— North Carolina Heat Is Coming πŸš—β˜€οΈ

As temperatures rise, remember that a vehicle can heat up dangerously fast. In just 10 minutes, the inside of a car can become much hotter than the temperature outside.

πŸ’™ Remember: Stop. Look. Lock.
βœ” Stop before walking away.
βœ” Look in the back seat every time.
βœ” Lock your vehicle when unattended.

Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a minute.

If you see a child or pet in distress inside a vehicle, call 911 immediately.

Let's keep everyone safe this summer! β˜€οΈπŸ‘ΆπŸΎπŸš’

Today's adventure featured one firefighter, one snake, and a successful outcome for everyone involved.

People often ask what firefighters do all day. The answer is simple:

Everything!

Fires. Medical calls. Vehicle accidents. Storm response. Public assists. Community events.

And apparently... snake removal. 🐍
