Today, the long awaited moment finally happened. Growth is never easy. She earned her high school equivalency while also going through the process of following her sister’s example, but still creating her own path for herself and her daughter.

This is what it looks like when “impossible” turns into I did it.

As a Navy Chief, these are the moments that hit different. It is not just about paperwork, a test, or a contract. It is about watching someone believe in themselves enough to keep going, even when life made it hard.

And I could not be more proud to be even a small part of her journey.
