Washington County VA Democratic Committee
June 10, 2026

The Washington County Democratic Committee (The Committee) will hold an UNASSEMBLED CAUCUS on Thursday June 18, 2026 between 3:00PM and 8:00PM via email ballot, for the purpose of approving the 2026 Committee Budget.
As a current WCDC Member, who has paid their 2026 dues as of June 10, 2026, you are receiving this NOTICE of UNASSEMBLED CAUCUS to approve our 2026 WCDC Budget.
I.
2026 Budget Approval:
As the Committee has failed to achieve a quorum at our last 2 scheduled General Membership meetings (April and May), and it is difficult to achieve a quorum at our General Membership meetings during the summer months (June, July, August) it was suggested at the May meeting we instead use an “unassembled caucus” to review and approve our 2026 Budget via email.
II.
Notice:
The Committee shall provide notice of this by placement of a general notice of the caucus, including noticing the caucus date, and time, along with the Call to Caucus, on the Washington County Democratic Committee website; by email notification to the members of the Washington County Democrats who reside in Washington County; and through other reasonable means that will disseminate information about the caucus to current member of the Committee. In addition, reasonable actions shall be taken to promote participation in the caucus in accordance with the Affirmative Action provisions of the Party Plan of the DPVA.
III.
Participation:
Every Democrat who is a current member of the Committee, who is in good standing and who has paid their 2026 Membership Dues is urged to participate. Each participant must complete an online email ballot including their name, their email address, their full mailing address including street, city, and zip code, and telephone number, and their vote to approve the 2026 Committee Budget.
IV.
Conduct of Caucus:
The proposed 2026 Budget will be provided to all current members via email by 5:00PM on Thursday June 11, 2026. Notice will be provided of a Zoom meeting on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at 7:30pm, which members can sign up to attend to ask questions, and receive answers about the
proposed 2026 Budget. Voting to Approve the 2026 Budget will begin on Thursday June 18, 2026 at 3:00pm and close at 8:00PM. No votes will be counted after 8:00PM.
V.
Determinate of Budget Approval:
Budget approval will be determined by a majority of Yes votes which exceeds the required quorum based on the current membership list as of June 18, 2026.
ADOPTED: Washington County Executive Committee (June 4, 2026)
Paid for by the Washington County Democratic Committee.
A Democratic Party of Virginia Committee.
