ALL PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE MARYLAND FIRE-RESCUE SERVICES MEMORIAL HONORING THOSE CAREER AND VOLUNTEER MEMBERS WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF DUTY PROTECTING THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF MARYLAND'S CITIZENS.

Just before 8pm on Thursday night, a house fire was reported in the area of Overlea Court in Accokeek. Engine 824 and Chief 824 arrived to find a two story house with fire showing from the rear. The crew quickly deployed an attack line to the backside to knock the fire down. Additional arriving crews from Fort Washington and Bryans Road worked on the second floor to open the attic and extinguish additional fire. All of the occupants were able to evacuate and were being assisted by the Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management. All units were back in service by 9:30.

It was a spectacular event and we loved seeing each and every one of you!

We want to especially thank our partners: The Greater Accokeek Civic Association and The Ruth Project Fellowship! Together we gave away hundreds of backpacks to our youth.
